There are several possible causes of timeouts, most of which are related to specific settings in your router.
In general, if you have trouble connecting, we can always recommend setting up a guest network on your router that only uses the 2.4 GHz band. Please consult your router’s manual to see how to do this. If you connect your phone to this network and restart the pairing process, your phone and device will be on the same Wi-Fi band. If you are able to connect your Duux device this way, you can then reconnect your smartphone to your regular Wi-Fi network and still control your device.
Additional solutions for connection issues can be found in the Duux app. These can be found by pressing the gear icon in the top left corner, selecting “Frequently asked questions,” and scrolling down to the “Connecting” tab.
