No, the Edge Oil is not suitable for humid spaces such as the bathroom. Only use the product in dry indoor spaces.

If you are looking for a Duux heater for a humid room, choose a model that is specifically splash-proof.

This has to do with hysteresis.

Hysteresis at a heater is like a buffer zone around the set temperature.

Suppose you set the heater to 22°C, it will not immediately turn off when it gets exactly 22°C. Instead, the heater will stop heating when it gets slightly above 24°C and start heating again when it gets slightly below 20°C.

This buffer zone of 4°C - hysteresis - prevents the heater from continuously switching on and off when the room temperature approaches the set temperature. Not only is this switching seen as disturbing to the user, the hysteresis also helps with energy savings. The heater thus operates more efficiently and the room remains comfortable without unnecessary fluctuations.

Yes, the Edge Oil may give off a temporary smell during first use. This is normal and usually disappears on its own over time.

The OPEN message means the Edge Oil has detected a sudden drop in temperature. The product then stops automatically to prevent unnecessary heating, for example when a window is open.

If the temperature drops by about 5 degrees within 10 minutes, the product assumes that a window or door is open. You will hear a beep, the function symbols will disappear and OPEN will appear on the display. Press any button within 1 minute to keep the current settings. If you do not, the product will switch to standby. Then press the power button to reactivate it.

Switch the Edge Oil off before pairing it. Then press and hold the Wi-Fi button for about 5 seconds to activate pairing mode.

You can then connect the product in the Duux app.
