Major app update is currently rolling out!

Dear Customer,

A major update was submitted today that will be rolled out to all users over the next few days. This Sunday (18/02), the update should be available to everyone. You can identify the update by its version number, which is displayed at the bottom of the "preferences" page. A version number equal to or higher than 4.0.0 means that the new update has been installed. This update includes the following improvements and fixes:

  • Improved stability when pairing and controlling devices
  • Resolved issues with random logout
  • Improved data synchronization
  • Increased server stability, resulting in improved performance during peak usage times
  • Improved response behavior when pressing certain buttons
  • Fixed bugs related to setting schedules for certain devices
  • Various minor improvements to enhance the user experience

There are still some known issues that have not been fixed by the above update:

  • Google Home and Amazon Alexa integrations have not yet been fully migrated and therefore have temporarily limited functionality.
  • It is not yet possible to choose a color variant for Neo. This will be fixed with the next update.
  • Houses can sometimes remain visible after they are abandoned. This now only happens sporadically rather than consistently. A fix will likely be implemented with the next app update.

New app update submitted!

Dear Customer,

Hereby we would like to let you know that a first update (version 3.10) has been submitted by us to the Apple and Google app stores. Please note that it may take 3-5 days for the update to be visible to you in the app store. This is because Apple and Google make these updates available to users in phases.

With this update, the following issues have been improved/resolved:

  • No more need to restart the app after adding a new device
  • Improvements with synchronization between the app and the Duux device
  • Several improvements made for the Bora dehumidifier
  • Eco mode functionality at Edge heaters has been improved
  • Problems where chart history disappeared in some cases have been fixed in most cases
  • Problems where the app got stuck while adding a new device have been fixed in most cases
  • Issues where users were unexpectedly logged out of the app have been fixed

We are aware that this does not yet fix all the problems you may be experiencing. Issues known to us that are not resolved by the above update are:

  • Synchronization between Duux device and app does not always happen immediately yet and in some cases still needs a manual refresh
  • Added devices do not appear immediately after launching the app: there is a delay of several seconds in this
  • The response speed and stability of the app are not yet at the required level
  • Google Home and Amazon Alexa integrations still lack access to the full set of features for some devices
  • Some smartphones do not allow updating the location for local weather data
  • For Android, after adding a Duux device, in some cases a blank screen appears; the device has been successfully added
  • Not all desired functions for each device can be set when creating a schema block
  • In certain situations, it is not possible to successfully remove a second or third home
  • Users without an account are not always prompted to select the appropriate color when adding a new device. In the device settings, however, this remains possible.

We are working hard to ensure that this is resolved as soon as possible with a larger update to the platform. This is currently in a testing phase, in which we are extensively reviewing all functionalities. What comes out of this testing phase will affect when this update becomes available to all users. We expect this to happen in a few weeks

Important update regarding Duux Smart App Platform

Dear Customer,

Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing persistent outages in our smart app platform. We find it very annoying that you, the customer, are being inconvenienced by this when using your Duux product. The outages are caused by the rapid growth in the number of users on our platform, which is causing us to run into capacity problems. This has forced us to switch to a new and improved platform earlier than planned. For you as a user, this will offer several advantages in terms of speed, reliability and functionality. However, it is important to mention that the problems are only related to the smart app. There is no defect in the product itself. Our team is working day and night to complete the migration to the new platform as soon as possible!

However, we understand that you need concrete information on the progress of this process. Therefore, we would like to inform you that a first update will be released during the week of January 22. In this update, the following issues will be resolved:

  • It is no longer necessary to restart the app after adding a new device.
  • Improvements with synchronization between app and Duux device
  • Several improvements have been made to the Bora dehumidifier
  • The functionality of eco mode at Edge has been improved
  • Problems where graph history disappeared in some cases have been fixed.
  • Problems where the app got stuck while adding a new device have been fixed.

We are extremely bummed about this situation and understand that you will temporarily have limited use of the app functionality. However, rest assured that the issues are being resolved and the end of the migration is in sight.

We ask for your understanding and patience as we work tooth and nail to fix it! We will continue to update you regularly with further updates, so you will be the first to know when the new app version goes live.
